Basements are notorious for heat loss during the winter and require heaters to run strenuously. Hot air rises, while cold air falls so basements are a constant strain for heaters since the warm air pumped in constantly rises away to the rest of the house.

TempShield™ works against the forces of nature to reflect radiating heat back down towards the basement. The insulating effect causes warm air to stay in the basement instead of floating up and away. The relief on heaters and electric bills is readily apparent after installing TempShield™ since heaters don't have to run nearly as much to keep the basement at the desired temperature.
TempShield™ Properties
TempShield™ is great as a basement wall insulator. TempShield™ performs as a vapor retarder, resists fungus and mold, and also controls dew point problems. (R-Value is unaffected by a damp basement environment.) The tested R-Value is obtained by installing TempShield™ as instructed; between two furring strips creating an air space on both sides of the product.
